A campaign group has been set up against plans to turn Kidgate Primary School into an academy.
The parents of Kidgate group held their first meeting last night and have also launched a campaign through Facebook.
The group fear the decision to convert to academy status has already been voted upon by governors and are calling once again on the school to hold a public meeting.
The Louth and Area Save Our School group held a meeting last week.
SOS founder Sarah Dodds, who has children at the school, said: “All the smoke and mirrors involved just makes us assume there is something to hide. The governing body need to move quickly to restore trust in the school as parents are becoming more angry.”
She said parents are critical about the written consultation process launched by the Kidgate Primary School and that head teacher Tracey Roberts will only discuss concerns with parents on an individual basis.
