Nearly 20 schools have so far confirmed that they will shut or partially close when strike action takes place next week.
The National Union of Teachers (NUT) and NASUWT are taking strike action against pension changes and working arrangements on October 1. Members from across the city and county plan to meet by the war memorial in Victoria Park, in Leicester, at 10am on the day, before marching down New Walk at 10.30am to Town Hall square.
